Bikini girl beauty 005

"The collection was a little softer than usual," said Theresa DiMasi, editor-in-chief of Brides.com, "but still in keeping with what they do best, which is Hollywood glam. There's some bejewelment, but less than I've normally seen."

This season, continued DiMasi, "It's not about being overly ornate."

Rather than gowns with extensive, all-over beading, Badgley Mischka sent out dresses accented with rhinestone appliqués, beaded accents on the bodice or floral embroidery. And soft silk chiffon was the favored fabric in this collection versus more traditional silk satins.

The duo also experimented with necklines, from the sculptural bodice that jutted out at the top to form points, to a plunging V neckline to a halter neck with straps that appeared to be composed of rhinestones, doubling as a necklace.

Trumpet gowns rounded out the offerings, for the ultimate movie star glam factor.
